BISHOP 2 - Meme

Bishop McKinley P. Pompey, Sr.  was born in Brownsville Pennsylvania.  He is the son of the late Bishop Willie Pompey and the late Missionary Lorraine Pompey.  He is married to Elder Candy Pompey.  They are blessed with three children:  McKinley, Jr.,  Philip and Howard;  six grandchildren: LaQuisha, Marqual, Purshawn, Mi’Anjel, Adrionna and Laila;  one great grandchild: Leionna.

His schooling experience is as follows:  Lafayette High School, Triangle Bible Academy, Linwood Bible School all located in Buffalo New York.

He is presently employed at Catholic Charities of Buffalo NY holding the position as Motor  Vehicle / Courier Operator.  Previous employments include:  Bus Driver for Blue Bird Coach Lines as Tour Guide, Transportation Coordinator for St. Augustine Center’s Teen Mother Program, Mail Handler for State University System, Transportation Coordinaor for the physically challenged students at SUNY Buffalo.

Member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Owner of Quick Hop Motorcycle Van Bus Transportation,  Personal Protection Agent and Western New York Hospital Association Minister are previous affiliations of Bishop McKinley Pompey.

BISHOP

Presently he is a Kaleida Health Clergy Member, sole owner of Heavenly Pound Cake, and Manager of Church of the Living God Items / Apparel, Catholic Charities Diversity Team Board Member and Outsource Board Member.

At the age of 16 he was filled with the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Elder Peter Mann at Open Door # 1 and Bishop Willie Pompey at Faith Temple Church of the Living God.  As a faithful member standing by his Pastor, Bishop Willie Pompey, the Lord called him to ministry in 1980.  Along with holding the title of Minister  he also worked untiringly as Local and State Music Director.  In 1986 he was exalted to the position of Elder.  In the year 1995 he was appointed State Elder of the Western New York Diocese.  He held the position of Interim Pastor as Bishop Willie Pompey’s health was failing.  In 2004 Faith Temple Church of the Living God’s congregation appointed Elder McKinley Pompey as Pastor. 

On October 30, 2009, Elder McKinley Pompey was consecrated Bishop by the laying on of hands by the Board of Bishops of the Churches of the Living God.  Presently serving as a Board Member on the General Church of the Living God’s Board of Bishops. To this day he continues to hold the title Bishop Prelate of the Western New York Diocese which includes the territory Westward from Buffalo to Pennsylvania.  He is Bishop to the following spirit filled Pastors and churches:  His own church, Faith Temple CLG of Buffalo NY;  Elder Adam Kinsel, Jr of Zion Hill CLG of Pittsburgh PA; Elder John Dixon of House of God CLG of Pittsburgh PA; Elder Darlene Y. Russell of Everlasting Outreach Ministries of Pittsburgh  PA and Elder Renee McNair of Inspirational Temple of Harrisburg PA.

For ministry, work is never done because scripture tells us that one should go into all the world preaching the Word of God.  As a servant of God and shepherd of the flock Bishop McKinley P. Pompey, Sr is determined to minister the Word of God both locally and abroad with the understanding that God gets all the glory, honor and praise, and he is only a vessel of God.
